Suja D. Dubois, M.D.
Dr. Suja DuBois received her undergraduate degree with cum laude honors from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1994. She attended medical school at the University of Southern California, graduating in 1998 as a Dean’s Scholar and member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. DuBois then completed three years of residency training in internal medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle in 2001. Her postgraduate training continued at the University of Washington with completion of an additional three years of fellowship specializing in gastroenterology and hepatology, with an emphasis on advanced therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as board certified in the specialty of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Dr. DuBois is a member of several professional societies including the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and has contributed several articles for scientific journals. She is currently a member of the teaching staff at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego in the department of Gastroenterology.
Dr. DuBois enjoys many aspects of the diverse field of gastroenterology, from providing preventative care such as colo-rectal cancer screening, to managing complex inflammatory bowel disease, to treating common conditions such as constipation and gastroesophageal reflux. She believes in a comprehensive approach to medical care, in that diet, lifestyle, psychology and pharmacology may all play a role in health and wellness.
